5 January 2018

Tomorrow Pete The Feat and Loose Chips return to Sandown Park Racecourse for the 2018 renewal of the Veterans Final.

Winner of the last years renewal of the Veterans Chase at Sandown, Pete returns in winning form to retain his crown. He is running off a 6lb higher mark, aged 14 and this year's race looks a stronger with every one with younger legs, however Pete is in excellent form and retaining his enthusiasm for racing. Johnny is booked to ride him and we hope he repeats last years' feat. If he runs like he did last time, he has every chance.

This is some celebration ??

Loose Chips will be hoping to steal the lime light from Pete, he got close last year when he missed 2 weeks training after a a nasty cut. He can be a rogue and likes thing to go his way and is happiest when he can dictate from the front. He is still up against it in the weights, he never won off a mark higher than 138. Paul is taking a valuable 5lbs off his back and it wll up to the enigma that is Chips whether he can pull it out of the bag.

Pete and Chips are great servants to the yard and a credit to the team to get them returning to the final in terrific form.

We also have Masterplan in the 1.20pm 32Red Handicap Chase where he is hoping to build on a decent second last time out at Doncaster and Monty's Award in the 3.35pm 32Red.com Handicap Hurdle, Monty needs to settle better than he did at Kempton.

Our 5th runner is Just Don't Ask, running in the 12.30pm Coarl Download The App Maiden Hurdle at Chepstow.
