Lest we forget

They shall not grow old,
As we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning,
We remember them.

A damp Saturday, the team did a great job at getting the horses ridden on such a miserable morning. Thankfully today has been dry.

No Trumps was tough on Friday, winning under a good ride from Tom. She refused to let the horses past her and really stuck her nose out to win. She tries her hardest and will give the jockey everything you ask of her which makes her a greathorse to train for The Queen.

Champagne Noir ran keen at Aintree and ultimately tired of the soft ground, there are more races for him. State Vision ran well at Sandown, he is learning with every run and will find his level once handicapping. Loose Chips ran well at his beloved Sandown, unfortunately they figured out how he runs his races and he got bullied out of it going down the side of the course, however Paul didn't panic and Chips stayed on to finish fourth. Paul and Present Endeavour were extremely unlucky to clip heels and fall in the bumper, the leader slightly jinxed left into our path, bringing us down. Thankfully both horse and rider are fine this morning. Louse Talk ran a good race at Ffos Las to finish fourth.

Three runners today at Kempton: Nightfly makes her seasonal debut, she is a great jumper, however her last run at Newbury, her jumping fell to pieces, she has schooled well at home and hopefully she will have a clear rounds jumping to boost her confidence. The Vollan runs in the Pertemps Qualifier, he has enjoyed a brilliant summer winning two and finishing within the first four on every occasion. This is a step up in trip, however this should suit him. Dariya has finished within the first four on her last four starts, including winning one at Worcester. The course should suit her and Tom retains the ride.
