2011/2012 SEASON

Oxfordshire based racehorse trainer Charlie Longsdon has achieved a superb total of well over 100 winners in his first five seasons of training. This included winning the Blue Square Champion Hurdle Trial with Songe in January 2009. Back in April 2010, Charlie was very proud to have his first runner in the Grand National. He was fulfilling one of his career long ambitions and he hopes Palypso de Creek will be able to repeat that feat in next year's race. April 2011 also saw Charlie train his first Cheltenham winner with Paintball.

The 2010-11 season was Charlie's most successful season to date. 44 winners from just 233 runners, at a strike rate of 19% saw him 23rd in the trainer's title and 14th in numerical winners. With the team of horses Charlie has for this season, he is aiming to have 50 winners and to break the £300,000 barrier in prize money won. He also has high hopes for the likes of Hidden Keel, Paintball and Hildisvini to be challenging for some major prizes during the season

Charlie and his small but very dedicated and ambitious team pride themselves on happy, healthy horses and believe this is shown in the results. We have a fantastic set of owners, most of whom have been with us since the early stages of his career and they help to make Charlie Longsdon Racing a very close knit team.
