He came to us at the turn of the year having been placed in his Irish Point to Point. He too was just a frame of a horse last season, so I did not rush him, and he has not yet run for us. I really like him; he is very impressive with his jumping and is a horse to really look forward to this season. I will look at a 2m4f Maiden Hurdle in the middle of October. The way he goes about his work reminds me of Kilcooley, (who similarly never won his Point to Point) who is also by Stowaway. If he can be half as good as him there will be many fun days ahead!
P2P.ie comments: This white-faced son of Stowaway who was making his debut between the flags finished a very creditable third and was only beaten by two and a half lengths. He appears to stay well and has a willing attitude which should aide him when embarking on a career under rules. He was staying on well at the death and looked the one to take out of the race and follow next time. He is from the same stable that produced the likes Champagne Fever and Peddlers Cross. He was purchased at the Derby sale for 35,000 Euros.
