Ballydine wins at Sandown

Ballydine wins the Betfred Mobile Masters Handicap Chase on his third start over fences in a fantastic round of jumping to bring him back on track after two good runs in defeat and 18 months off the racecourse. Sean Bowen gave him an excellent ride to get one up on his brother, James in a close finish. It was a terrific run against seasoned chasers, including the gallant Loose Chips, as it was only his 9th start under rules and his third over fences. We are now looking forward to The National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham with him.

Chips ran a fantastic race to finish 3rd, it was slightly concerning with the two loose horses hasseling him for part of the race, however he rallied well once headed and showed his toughness to keep on for third once headed.

Forth Bridge ran a good race to finish second in the Bet365 Scottish County Hurdle, only being collared close to the finish line. It was very encouraging to see him return to form after some slightly disappointing runs. He enjoyed the better ground and always runs well at Musselburgh and he should pick up a race or two in the spring.
