Cardigan Bay wins at Southwell

Cardigan Bay wins on her handicap debut at Southwell under a great ride by Aidan Coleman. This well bred mare won her bumper at Fontwell in September and has improved with every run over hurdles, settling better with every run. She has finished in the first three in all three of her previous runs over hurdles. She jumped well throughout the race, taking to the fixed brush hurdles well and gave Aidan a great spin round. She settled well in behind the leaders and battled well up to the line to keep her head in front. There is more to come from this mare.
