Brian Hughes gave Hammersly an excellent ride to win the valuable Sodexo Prestige Venues And Events Killiecrankie Handicap Chase. Well done to Perth for putting on excellent prize money making it well worth the long trip to Scotland. Neli and Alice were also full praise for the new stable staff accomodation which they rated as 'hotel' standard, definitely a standard some racecourses ought to aim for.
Hammersly Lake may now be aimed towards the American Grand National to follow in Sharp Rise's footsteps but looks to be a very nice horse for the season ahead.
