IRELAND
Yesterday was an extremely long and tiring day in Ireland. Our plane arrived in Dublin airport at 8am where we were picked up by Rochey's brother and he drove us straight down to Wexford and Waterford. There we were lucky enough to be shown endless nice horses at Denis Murphy's, Colin Bowe's, Sean Doyle's and Paul Roche's. It certainly kept us busy and a few of them we will be seeing again next week at Brightwells.
Once finished there, Nick Stokes picked us up and did the Tipperary leg. There we looked at a few small point to point trainers and then also saw John Nallen's, PJ Colvilles and Pat Doyle's horses. Nick finally got us back to the airport for 8pm - twelve hours later and over thirty horses looked at!! It was a h***ish long day, but we saw some really nice horses. Now it is time to work out how nice they were and hopefully buy one or two of them!
Strongbow's Legend came fourth last night at Towcester - he looked like the winner for 2m6f of the 3m, but just does not seem to get the trip. Noel says we need to drop him back to 2m4f-2m6f. Tonight Cross of Honour goes to Worcester. I hope he will have come on from Southwell last time and if he has he should go very well.
