Yesterday was one of those days at the races that reminds us how humbling this sport can be. We took two runners to Warwick yesterday, unfortunately we had a faller at the first. Thankfully both horse and rider walked away unscathed, which is always the priority. It’s the nature of racing, isn’t it? The highs and lows come hand in hand, and days like these only make the good moments sweeter.
Looking towards the weekend we have plenty of entries at Doncaster, Sandown and Wolverhampton. We are especially excited to see Miss Applejack make her debut on the flat, it’s always a thrill to see a horse try something new and hopefully she will enjoy it.
Monday Mornings are our schooling mornings, David Bass was in the yard riding out and schooled a group of horses ahead of their runs, it was fantastic to see them all jumping well and in good form.
Today we had the Washpool Syndicate in to see Washpool & some other horses in action up the gallops. It is so great to have the syndicates in the yard to catch up with our lovely owners.
