A classy, big horse whose main aim will be The Randox Health Grand National next Spring. He will have to go up 5lbs or so to get into the race, but he deserves to run in some of the big handicaps this season and I know he is well enough handicapped to win one. He arguably should have won The Mandarin Chase at Newbury and the Peter Marsh chase in January, however, then was very disappointing in the Midlands National. I thought we had a cracking chance in the race, but he came back wrong and sore having not jumped a single fence that day. He is a fragile horse, and, in an ideal world, we need to find a nice handicap for him to go and win, enabling him to get into the Grand National. I might look at either Bangor or Cheltenham in mid-November to start off with and depending on how he goes there, look at the Becher chase, Welsh National, Haydock in January, and the Grand National. He’s a good horse, he deserves a decent handicap win. He won at Sandown on very soft ground, which I think is the ground he prefers.
