Raven Court - all dressed up and nowhere to go!

Raven Court was a NR on Monday at Warwick, the ground went soft in places due to the massive rainstorm. Honestly, this weather cannot make up its mind at the moment, currently we are having a hailstorm. However, Teenage Dirtbag ran a great race at Warwick on Monday and actually looked like he knew what he was doing. It has been a long road trying to get the penny to drop with him, thankfully we are heading in the right direction. Richie gave him a fab ride, and he just hit the front too soon where he was very green and didn’t know what to do, but will have learned loads. He has now gone up to the top field for his summer holidays, where hopefully he will come back in a grown man ready for next season!

Do Wanna Know actually completed at Southwell yesterday to come 2nd, which we are delighted about due to his form starting to look like the alphabet. His jumping is much improved, after spending lots of time at Lew House Stables, and there is still more to improve on. It is a good note to end his season on, and he will join Teenage Dirtbag in the top field for his summer holidays.

Talking of summer holidays, well I mean it is not very summery here at the moment, but No No Tango departed Hull Farm to return to his owners for the summer. He is a cracking 4yo and we are excited to see him out in a bumper in October time.

Hoot At Midnight and Maxi Jazz are declared to run at Huntingdon tomorrow, with Charlie Deutsch on board both. Hoot is back over hurdles this time to get her confidence up. She has not had much luck over fences, and that is not her fault. We are hoping for a good run. Maxi Jazz only ran on Saturday, but in a messy 17 runner field race, tomorrow’s race has a smaller field size. The mares, Glimpse Of Gala and Local Affair head to Worcester as well tomorrow, with Paul on board. We are excited to see Gala first time out over hurdles. Local Affair was promising last time out, so we hope she can back up this form and run better.

Market Rasen on Friday only has The Vollan declared from our stable with Brian Hughes on board in a Novice Chase. He is in great form at home, so fingers crossed for a good run.

Considering the summer is meant to be the ‘quiet’ season, we still have lots of entries; Western Miller, The Wise Traveller, Glencassley, Train Hill and Jamacho are the entries for the weekend at Haydock, Hexham, Warwick and Ludlow. Monday and Tuesday we have Calvario, Glencassley, Raven Court, Beyond The Clouds and Nightfly for Southwell and Sedgefield.
