Horses for Sale

10th August 2022

10 August 2022

Wednesdays always end up being a busy day. It is a schooling morning and a vet morning. This time of year, we do annual trot ups, each horse gets trotted up in front of the vet and has a good look over. This is to check they are in good health, any abnormalities and anything to be aware of. Therefore Dave, the vet, has lots to get through, as well as his routine vet checks. We also keep the physio, chiropractor and dentist all busy this time of year with their annual checks.

We also had eight to school this morning, Lilly was in. Caesar’s Palace and Train Hill schooled under Brad. Present Storm and Somekindofstar jumped with Cian. It was good to see Somekindofstar get off the ground, he is new to us this season. As expected, he jumped well. Ardbraccan, Maninsane, One Last Dance and Midnight Jewel then schooled with Lilly on board. Maninsane was having his first jump since arriving back from pre-training, Lilly could not have been more complimentary. Ardbraccan jumped superbly considering he has come off the flat and only schooled for the first time last week. Midnight Jewel will look to make his debut over fences very soon.

The four 3yos had their first canter back on the gallop since their break. It was great to see them enjoying it. Gentleman Jacques and the Telescope certainly enjoyed themselves and included some ginormous bucks at the bottom of the gallop.

Beyond The Clouds has not been declared for Nottingham and is not likely to go to Perth along with Oscar Montel. Train Hill and George Bancroft are both entered at Market Rasen on Saturday.

Do not forget there is still time to enter our 5 to follow competition! Entries close on the 1st September. More details can be found in last months newsletter - https://mailchi.mp/10b4a7fcef90/charlie-longsdon-newsletter-13666144
