Horses for Sale

12th August 2022

12 August 2022

The 2nd heatwave of summer, and it looks as though drought will be officially declared later today in our area.  It certainly is warm and dry outside, but both staff and horses are coping with it very well. The horses do not go out in the field when the temperatures are extremely high, they do not enjoy it and get very agitated. It is much cooler in the barn and out the way of the flies. We do have to make the most of the summer weather, it will soon be National Hunt weather!

The majority of the horses are back on the gallops now, and we are gearing up for the winter season. The barn is full, and it is a busy, exciting workplace at the moment. There are lots of nice youngsters to look forward to seeing make their debut, as well as the exciting Novice hurdlers and older guard. Please do pop up to Hull Farm and come and see your horse on the gallops.

The end of the August National Hunt racing break, Train Hill has been declared for Market Rasen on Saturday evening. He is heading back over fences, and Lilly Pinchin rides. Jamacho is entered at Bangor on Monday evening, while Midnight Jewel, Oscar Montel, and Present Storm all hold entries on Wednesday at Worcester.

Have a good weekend everyone, stay cool and enjoy the sun!
