Horses for Sale

15th August 2022

15 August 2022

The calm before the storm. We are all eagerly awaiting the rain that is forecast, how much, if any at all, will we get. There are talks of big thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon, however it is touch and go whether they will cover Hull Farm. It is quite nice to finally be able to turn the horses back out in the field. They were certainly happy. Due to the heatwave, they were kept in all last week, they do not enjoy the flies and there is little shade in the fields.

Train Hill took to the track at Market Rasen on Saturday evening. It was a lot cooler up North than at Hull Farm! He was running back over fences, however there were three fences in the home straight taken out due to low sun. Therefore, it was not a true run race. That is the risk you have to take with these evening meetings this time of year. The fences that he did jump, he jumped very well. It was a strong pace throughout, and it was great to see him finish off his race strongly to come 5th under Lilly Pinchin. They got race a long way out, due to the lack of fences, and he was run off his feet, but stayed on well. We will look to run him back over fences.

Midnight Jewel, Oscar Montel and Present Storm have all been declared for Worcester on Wednesday evening. Midnight Jewel will make his chasing debut under Lilly Pinchin. Oscar Montel and Present Storm will be guided by Brian Hughes. Glebe Road returned from his holidays today. He looks absolutely fantastic, and we look forward to this season with him.

Have a good week everyone.
