A double on the day yesterday at Fontwell! Finally, we have got rid of our long spell of seconditis thanks to Glimpse Of Gala and Midnight Jewel. Glimpse Of Gala, making her seasonal debut, and her second run over hurdles ran a strong race to win nicely under Paul O’Brien. She did still look a bit green in front and will come on from the run. It also happened to be a GBB race, so an extra £20,000 bonus that goes to the breeder, owners, and trainer. Glimpse Of Gala, as you all know, is the Marriotts homebred, and was raised here on the farm, so it is great to see her running so well. Congratulations to the Tweed Clad Fossils! Midnight Jewel was the second winner of the day and made all, jumped well and went on to win comfortably by four lengths under Tom Buckley. Midnight Jewel has been a consistent horse over the summer, and we are thrilled for owner Ms Gillian Morgan. Lets hope there are a few more winners to come!

Thinque Tank heads to Newton Abbot on Friday for his seasonal debut. He won last time out, and we are hoping for a good run. Paul O’Brien takes the ride for The Charlie Longsdon Racing club, there are still spaces available, so if you fancy a few Owners & Trainers tickets to Newton Abbot purchase your share today for just £74 per month!

George Bancroft is entered at Plumpton on Sunday, however the going looks as though it will be too firm. Present Storm is entered at Warwick, and Vivas is entered for his seasonal debut as well.

Four horses headed off to Richard Phillips’ gallops this morning to do a piece of work. If I Say, Haas Boy, Glencassley and Western Zephyr (the Westerner 4yo new name!) They all worked well and will have another away day soon. Paul and Will Kennedy were in, so we also schooled a few this morning. What About Time, Oscar Montel, Raven Court, Byzantium Lad and The Mighty Arc. Snow Leopardess arrived back at Hull Farm yesterday, she looks fantastic and has been pretraining with her owner Mrs Fox-Pitt.
