First of all, Snow Leopardess is absolutely fine. It was not the start to her season that we hoped for, but she is back safe and ready to go again. She slipped really badly into the first fence, resulting in an awful jump, and banging the fence. She did well to stay upright, and Aidan did well to stay on. Aidan then pulled her up quickly due to this, as she thought she had gone wrong. Luckily, she hadn’t and we can look to get her out again.

On Tuesday Lyrical Genius made his debut over fences and with first time blinkers. It was an encouraging start and he jumped superb under a positive ride from Lilly Pinchin. There is plenty of room for improvement and he will come on for the run next time out. Calidad then took to the track at Hereford. He was disappointing and never got too involved in the race. It is back to the drawing board with him. Largy Nights made a pleasing seasonal debut around Plumpton with Paul on board to finish 2nd. He stayed on nicely to the line and will improve for the run. He is one to look forward too next time out.

Jack Quinlan and Lilly were in yesterday. We schooled on the grass down by the bottom of the gallop, as it is still good ground. That is hard to believe. Normally we are in the top schooling field by now and it is a bottomless bog down there due to it being marsh land. Castle Robin jumped away nicely and there are no ill effects from his Cheltenham run which is always a relief. Haas Boy, Western Zephyr, Everyonesgame, Maninsane, Well Dick, Catuaba, Rare Edition and Harjo also jumped. They all jumped well and will be on the racecourse very soon.

Tuesday was a miserable day with extremely heavy downpours of rain all morning. It is morning like those that we must thank the stable staff, they soldiered on through it! It was also miserable Wednesday morning, and not the nicest this morning. However, we have been asking for the rain and it delivered.
