A very Happy Birthday to Her Majesty The Queen, an incredible woman.

It is coming into holiday season at Hull Farm as we are nearing the end of the 2020/21 season. The first lot of ‘Hull Farm’ staycation horses went out into the top field yesterday; Westerner X Beneficial Breeze, Freethinker, Illegal Model, and Largy Nights. Haas Boy headed out their today. The boys look happy, and quite smug when we are riding past!

Midnight Jewel made the long trip to Sedgefield yesterday to finish 4th under Johnny Burke. It was a pleasing run, but we had hoped he would have improved slightly more from his previous run than he showed yesterday. However, he just let the front few get away from him. We are excited for his summer here at Hull Farm, and he should be winning very soon.

Vivas heads to Ludlow today, and Luca Morgan rides. Luca will take 5lb off his back otherwise he would be carrying top weight. It is a good race, but we are hopeful of a good run. Jess has been taking him off hacking around the farm to freshen him up and he wears a visor for the first time.

Our final runner of the season will be Byzantium Lad at Worcester on Friday for his new owners the ‘Stormy Milan Syndicate.’ Kevin Brogan will ride to take 5lb off his back. He will not run if the word ‘firm’ stays in the going report, and we will walk the course when we get there. They have not raced at Worcester for 18 months, so it should be a good grass covering. He looks like he will be a great fun syndicate horse. He will have a short holiday after this run, before heading over fences next season. There are still a few small shares left in him, please get in touch for more details.

After Sandown on Saturday there is no jumps racing for 10 days before we enter the new season.

Paul was in this morning and gave Glimpse Of Gala her first pop over the hurdles this season. She was fantastic, and for a little mare she sure can jump. The plan with her is to run in a Novice Hurdle in the new season before sending her off for another holiday.
