What a miserable morning! It was continous rain until everyone had finished riding out and then it dried up! It was a busy schooling morning, as most Wednesday are. It was not great conditions for photos, and Amber is still learning how to use the camera! We had Paul O'Brien in and we also have Sam Lee, a new work rider who comes into ride out 6 times a week. You may have seen his interview on ITV last week before he went on to finish 3rd on Golan Fortune at Cheltenham!
On Monday we had Storm Goddess finish 4th in the listed 3m Mares' Hurdle at Kempton. This was her first time over the trip, and she ran very well only being beaten 3 1/4 lengths! Peter's Portrait ran at Ludlow and finish 3rd, it was a tougher race than last time out, so we were pleased with that. Barton Rose also ran at Ludlow, she ran very well up until the point where she got tired. She will have needed the run. Yesterday we had Guetapan Collonges at Southwell, he ran well but will need further in time. That was his final run before getting a mark.
Today we have Stormy Milan and Carlow Farmer at Hereford, and tomorrow we have Miss Molinari at Lingfield. On Friday we have Champagne Noir and Freethinker at Doncaster. Along with lots of entries for Saturday and Sunday.
Lockdown is ending and it looks as though more people can start to go racing - how exciting! It will be nice to see more people on the track, and hopefully it will make it more enjoyable for the owners.
