Alan Roche – Head Lad
Roche joined us in 2008 as Head Lad, having previously worked for Jonjo O’Neill in the same role for 14 years. He is an excellent horseman, and his knowledge of the horses is superb. He is in charge of the horses’ care and maintenance in the yard as well as making sure all the staff know what they are doing. Roche also breaks in our young horses and does a brilliant job with them.
Emma Batten – Racing Secretary
Emma has now been with us since 2009, she is a huge asset to our team! Having previously worked as a racing secretary for Jonjo O’Neill. She set up the office when we moved to Hull Farm and keeps things running smoothly, she also does the accounts and rides out.
Rachel Lander - Assistant Trainer
Rachel has rejoined us here at Hull Farm, her previous role included riding out, overseeing the feeding and assisting our Head Lad. She will now be representing Charlie at the races, communicating with and entertaining owners. She will also carry out a variety of office duties throughout the day when not racing including running the social media accounts.
Isobel Snowdon – Travelling Head Groom
Issy previously worked at Dan Skelton's & Harriet Dickin's, she has great experience in driving the horses to the races, turning them out to a high standard. Issy brings vibrant enthusiasm to our yard and is a great fit to our team here at CLR, when she is not racing Issy will be joining the team with riding out.
Lilly Pinchin - Stable Jockey
Lilly joined as Charlie's conditional jockey back in 2022 and rode out her claim in November 2023 to turn professional. She is a very dedicated individual who comes in 2 times a week to work and school the horses, between riding out at other yards during the week. She has ridden numerous winners for CLR over the last 4 seasons, aboard the likes of Midnight Jewel, Molto Bene, The Dark Edge, Big City Roller, The Dark Edge etc. We look forward to successful 25/26 season!
Daire McConville - Conditional Jockey
Daire brings plenty of experience to the team despite still claiming a valuable 7lbs. Having begun his career in Ireland with Henry De Bromhead before riding for the likes of Ian Williams and Marting Keighley, he now joins our team. His knowledge, work ethic and experience make him a fantastic addition to the team!
Georgia Brearey - Stable Staff
Georgia finally joined the team full time five years ago, having ridden out on Saturdays for the past few years while studying at school. Nothing is ever too much of a problem, and she is a lovely quiet rider. Georgia is a huge asset when being entrusted to do ‘flat work’ with the horses, rides work and cares for the horses like no other. There is never a day Georgia doesn't have a smile on her face and we love having her around!
Macy Genco - Stable Staff
The life and soul of the yard! Macy joined us in January 2024 on her return to the UK after a summer in Australia. She previously worked for Graham McPherson and Fergal O'Brien, before heading to Australia to work for Feek Racing. She has also ridden winners in point-to-point as an amateur jockey.
Hannah Jones - Stable Staff
Hannah has joined us after re-locating, she previously worked from Jemery Scott's and is a valued member of our team. Hannah is a brilliant rider on all different types of horses, but she is also a cheerful and positive person to have around the yard. The care and attention she gives to the horses is second to none. Her favourite horses in the yard are Bugise Seagull and Alien Storm!
Megan Hunter – Stable Staff
Megan arrived here having previously worked for Jonjo O'Neill and David Griffiths. Megan is now on her second season with us, it’s been fantastic to see how much she has progressed since joining the team last season. Megan has approached everything with a positive attitude and a real eagerness to learn. She is a great asset to the yard, she turns horses out to a high standard at the races and gives all the horses at home fantastic care and attention.
Sarah Hache - Stable Staff
Sarah is one of our happiest member off staff! She is always smiling and puts so much love and care into her horses. She grew up in Argentina and moved to the UK when she turned 18. She has previous experience working in polo, eventing and racing so has been a great addition to the yard, her favourite horse in the yard is Catuaba!
Abigail Smith - Stable Staff
Abigail has joined us after completing a course at the British Racing School last season, she has a brilliant work ethic and is great to have around the yard! Abigail will be riding out in the morning and will be attending the races, she has a real bond with her favourite horses Molto Bene and The Dark Edge.
Zeniy Glyebov - Stable Staff
Zeniy is a crucial member of the staff, able to turn his hand to repair most things, as well has helping with the mucking out, bedding up and any general maintenance around the yard. Zeniy is a massive asset to the team, he is always happy and can turn his hand to anything.
Vadym Masik - Stable Staff
Vadym is in his eighth season with us, he is a good yardman and in charge of making sure all the bedding up is done in the yard and the hay. Vadym can fix and handle just about anything, himself and Zeniy work as a great team that we appriciate having everyday.
The main team is supported by regular work riders Jordan Nailor, Harry Longsdon and Gill Anderson.
