Before then however we have Bob Tucker and Franz Klammer at Newbury and Warwick. Bob runs in a competitive renewal of the Mandarin Handicap Chase at Newbury, it is a race that I have won in the past with Pete The Feat and Rey Nacarado. He ran a great race last time out at Sandown over 3m 4f in the London National. Franz Klammer is a homebred of Christopher and Fran Marriott's by the now sadly deceased Midnight Legend. He makes his debut at Warwick in a bumper.
On New Years Day we have three runners at Musselburgh, Charlotte and Nelli enjoyed it so much when they went up with Forth Bridge they requested a return trip. Musselburgh did a fantastic job of looking after them and I look forward to experiencing their hospitality first hand on NYD. Castafiore runs in the Juvenile hurdle, she has been second on her last two starts. St Johns Point runs in a Novice Handicap Chase, he was running well last time at Taunton before coming to grief three from home, if he had stood up I have no doubt that he would have been fighting out the finish that day. Our third and final runner is Germany Calling who runs in the valuable Totepool.com "Auld Reekie" Handicap Chase. He won well last time out at Doncaster and Graham is back in the saddle.
