Who could doubt Loose Chips spoiling a Pete The Feat party….It was a great honour to have a race named after Pete at Sandown and Pete duly ran his usual race to finish 7th. He was always going to need the race, as these older horses often do, however Loose Chips came up trumps with a resounding success under an excellent ride by Paul. Chips tried to pull himself up going out onto the final circuit, he knows his way round Sandown too well! He quickly came back onto the bridle and won by 11 lengths. Chips is delighted to be reunited with Dickie and that could be one of the reason’s he is back in the winner’s enclosure. Both Old Boys head to the final now, where they will be a year older and wiser!
