We had a fantastic Owners Brunch and Open Afternoon on Saturday, this was the first time we had combined the two days as in the past we used to have an Open day one weekend and our Owners day the following. Kicking off with drinks and brunch canapes for the owners before opening the gates to the public and receiving well over 500 people. Luckily the weather held off and we were treated to a dry afternoon and everything went smoothly. The most nerve-wracking part is the schooling as we had 8 horses schooling with a large crowd watching increasing the pressure on both horses and jockeys. Fortunately it went well and all the horses jumped well, Johnny, Jordan, Paul and James did an excellent job with them and kept their minds on the jumps and off the crowds.
After the schooling we then paraded 60 horses in the yard, including OUr Kaempfer, Monbeg Charmer, Montys Award and Forth Bridge.
