Aged 14, Pete defys the nay-sayers and those calling for retirement with yet another win at his beloved Sandown. He is very much a favourite of everyone in the yard, especially Wilf who rides him out every day, tollerating and encouraging all his little quirks which make Pete, Peter! Wilf knows when Pete is not right and if he has stopped blowing by the time he gets to the tree, then he is fit. I have always said we will retire Pete when he stops enjoying racing and the everyday work and that remains the case, his enthusiasm shows no stopping and even after his race, he is still pulling Wilf's arms out!!
The entire team have enjoyed reading all the messages from Pete's fan club and really appreciate the love for the grand old horse. It was a fantastic win for Johnny who is looking forward to his Cheltenham rides this week.
We will now aim at returning to the Veterans Final in 2019 aged 15!
Just Your Type broke his maiden when winning at Hereford under Andrew Tinkler to bring a double up on the day. He is a big scopey horse who will come into his own next season once chasing. He was our third winner of the week after Louse Talk won at Carlisle under a terrific ride by Paul O'Brien.

Great race! That will take some topping at Cheltenham next week. Even if faugheen and douvan both came and won I don't think it would match the jubilation @Sandownpark today #Legend #petethefeat
