Snow Leopardess wins the Prix Grandlieu in France

It is great when a plan comes together. The idea of going to France was slightly nerveracking as last time, Kilcooley didn't run to form as he didn't suit the way they race in France and it is a long way to go to be disappointed. In it's favour was that Snow Leopardess had travelled well to Gowran Park, to win a listed bumper, she jumps extremely well and the prize money is better than anything offered in Brittain at this time of year. This countered the increased travel cost as it was a €50,000 race.

We decided  on James Reveley to ride as he is one of the top jump jockeys in France so he would have an advantage of knowing the course and the style of racing. Snow Leopardess travelled well through the race, James had her settled and jumping the french hurdles well. Turning into the home straight, she had the advantage of the rail and asserted herself close to the line.

Many thanks to The International Racing Bureau and Luck Greayer Bloodstock for all their help in organising the trip.
