With the benefit of a run on the pointing circuit in late April, Louse Talk returned an improved horse to run out a convincing winner of a five-year-old geldings maiden at Tralee. The Mahler gelding produced a very likeable performance under a change of tactics from his initial effort. Making all under Rob James, Louse Talk held a two-length advantage approaching the second last flight. Going clear after the last, he created a really good visual impression on just his second visit to the track, by taking a race which was run four seconds quicker than division one of this contest and comfortably defeating the favourite by six-lengths whilst there were a further 16-lengths back to the third who had entered the race off the back of a second-placed effort, as the field returned at long intervals such was his authority on the race. Louse Talk is a half-brother to the two-time track winning mare Knockbrack Vic, who was also a winning point-to-point graduate.
