Alan Roche – Head Lad
Roche joined us in 2008 as Head Lad, having previously worked for Jonjo O’Neill in the same role for 14 years. He is an excellent horseman, and his knowledge of the horses is superb. He is in charge of the horses’ care and maintenance in the yard as well as making sure all the staff know what they are doing.
Emma Batten – Racing Secretary
Emma has now been with us since 2009, having previously worked as a racing secretary for Jonjo O’Neill. She set up the office when we moved to Hull Farm and keeps things running smoothly, she also does the accounts and rides out.
Lauren Hay – Racing Secretary
Lauren has recently arrived with us having spent five years at Jonjo’s. She will be working alongside Emma in the office and also riding out each morning.
Jess Benfield - Travelling Head Groom
Jess has been with us since she was 16 and is one of the best riders in the yard, especially on young horses. Jess adores Snow Leopardess and does a fantastic job of looking after her. She also provides a wealth of experience at the racecourse turning out the horses immaculately.
Lee Quirk – Travelling Head Groom
Lee joined us from Paul Webber's, he has worked in Irish point to point yards and is a capable horseman. His favourite is Maninsane. He has now spent a year working alongside Jess as our other Travelling Head groom and has thrived in his new role, taking great care with all the owners.
Kaitlin Fryer
Kaitlin has recently joined us from the racing school. She has grown up around horses, and rides nicely. She is a hard worker and a great asset to the team.
Alan Alderman
Alan was previously head lad at Gary Moore's and brings valuable experience into the yard. He is an experienced rider who also is in charge of the, all important, daily feeding of the horses.
Georgia Brearey
Georgia finally joined the team full time two years ago, having ridden out on Saturdays for the past few years while studying at school. Nothing is ever too much of a problem, and she is a lovely quiet rider. Georgia has built up a fantastic partnership with If I Say and Realisation and she along with Dasha are a huge asset when being entrusted to do ‘flat work’ with the horses.
Dasha Bogush
Dasha has recently arrived over from the Ukraine. She is a hard worker, who has formed great partnerships with plenty of horses especially the ones that have needed to do some dressage. I would guess Well Dick, Parramount and Big City Roller would be her favourites.
Bradley Roberts - Conditional Jockey
Bradley turned conditional a year ago winning on his first three rides. He has had a fantastic first season as a conditional winning 12 races and he will soon be down to claiming only 5lbs.
Cian Chester - Conditional Jockey
Cian Chester joined us recently from Ireland, having previously worked for Gordon Elliot. He rides well and gets on with the tricky horses. We are looking forward to forming a strong partnership going forward.
Zeniy Glyebov
Zeniy is a crucial member of the staff, able to turn his hand to repair most things, as well has helping with the mucking out, bedding up and any general maintenance around the yard.
Vadym Masik
Vadym is in his eighth season with us, he is a good yardman and in charge of making sure all the bedding up is done in the yard and the hay.
Richard Tustian - Gallopman
'Ted' joined us around 4 years ago and makes sure the gallop is in tip top condition. He will harrow and rake it every lot.
The main team is supported by regular work riders Will, Wilf & Freya.
