The 2023/24 season certainly started with a bang with our first runner being a winner! Catuaba put it all together and stuck out his big white nose to win by 1/2 a length at Warwick under a positive Lily Pinchin ride! He really showed how game he was and the will to win was there to see, fingers crossed he can progress from this and go on to win more.

Last night we set off to Ludlow with Alghazaal and Miss Applejack. A minor glitch with the lorry breaking down on route saw the Trainer to the rescue in another lorry and on they went! Alghazaal jumped like a bunny for 2 miles to draw nicely clear for his first success over fences. Kielan Woods had the perfect run round the rail before pouncing at the second last. We are delighted for his very patient owners Bill and Liz Bailey who have waited a while for the win to come, onwards and upwards!

It was then Miss Applejacks turn, she had much to live up to with her big sister being the one and only Glimpse of Gala! She showed a great attitude to win the Division 1 of the mares bumper with her ears pricked. A lot of her owners were there to celebrate the win including her breeders Fran and Christopher Marriott. Huge congratulations to all and we can start to dream of what she might achieve.

Fingers and Toes all crossed that the season carries on exactly the way it has started!
