Recently we had 2 runners at Worcester, Catuaba finished 7th. The race didn’t run to suit him, and we will be putting a line through that run. We are confident that moving forward we will welcome him back into the winner’s enclosure. Straight after Midnight Jewel secured a respectable 3rd place. He is such a genuine horse of ours and we are delighted with his performance and more so that he returned safe and sound home.
As the weekend approaches the yard preparations are still in full swing preparing the winter horses, getting ready for Open Day and our Owner’s Day. Next week we have 2 entries, Miss Applejack is entered for Stratford on Tuesday in a Handicap Hurdle, this will be her first run back following her break. I Am Gonna Be is entered for Worcester on Wednesday, both horses are looking fantastic here at home, so we are looking forward to them potentially running.
While we have a couple of runners to look forward to next week some of the staff members will be updating their first aid training. Rachel, Emma, Georgia and Lauren will all be completing their first aid course to keep them prepared in the event of an injury, it is such an important role, but they always have lots of fun on the course too!
We have welcomed a new member staff over the last week, Hannah Jones has joined us and is a great asset to the team. Hannah will be riding out 4-5 lots a day and going racing with her favourite horses on the yard throughout the season, we are delighted to have her here!
