It’s been a while since our last catch up, with so much happening both on and off the racecourse, there is definitely plenty to catch up on!
What a fantastic week it’s been for Hull Farm, two winners in two days brought plenty of smiles all round! Firstly, our absolute stable legend, Midnight Jewel, secured his ninth career win for us in classic gutsy fashion. He’s been a star for the yard and his owner Ms G E Morgan season after season, it’s always brilliant to see him win – he is such a genuine horse who always tries his hardest.
Yesterday saw a progressive turn in Red Panda who had her first win over hurdles under David Bass. She’s always been a mare we’ve loved at home and it’s brilliant to see her progressing and getting the hang of it now. We are so pleased for owners Marietta and Andrew Fox Pitt, there’s plenty more to come from her. Many of you will know her as the daughter of Snow Leopardess.
Back at the yard, the summer break is in its last few weeks for the Winter National Hunt team, a few horses who prefer the better ground have returned from their holidays looking fresh and well including Alien Storm, The Dark Edge and Book of Tales. This week also saw a new arrival for us, Kamaxos, he has already won the hearts of some of the girls in the yard, and we are all looking forward to having him with us for the 25/26 season.
Finally, we have officially set a date for our annual open day to the public, we will open our doors to you on Saturday 13th September at 12-2pm. We love doing this every year and always get a terrific turn out. The day will include a parade of horses, schooling demonstrations, equicizer fun, stable tour and refreshments & cakes.
