The summer holidays have come to end for another group of National Hunt horses. After weeks of grazing, relaxing and recharging it’s fantastic to see the boxes filling up again. The team have been busy pulling manes, bathing and tidying up the horses to get them back to looking their best.
Our farriers, physio and dentist have all also been busy doing a brilliant job ensuring the horses return in peak condition. Now the shoes are back on, and the trotting has begun! The next few weeks the horses will be trotting building up muscle and strengthening muscles, tendons and ligaments.
On Thursday we’ve declared Washpool to run at Worcester, this is his first run back following a break, he is a much bigger and stronger horse this time around. We’re hopeful he will make a positive return that he can progress from as the season goes on.
We have a few entries over the weekend before the 3 weeks break in National Hunt Racing. Red Panda is entered for Uttoxeter for Friday. On Sunday we have Stroll on By and Midnight Jewel entered for Uttoxeter too.
It would be great to get a winner before the 3 week break, fingers crossed!
