Sunday, we took 2 runners to Uttoxeter racecourse. Stroll on By put in a brilliant and gutsy performance to finish 2nd showing once again why he is such a yard favourite. Stepped up in class but put in a game and gutsy performance as always. He is a tough and honest horse who is always so consistent! Midnight Jewel also ran a fantastic race showing plenty of promise before making a mistake. That said, we’re just delighted to have him home safe and sound, he is a huge part of our team and there is always another day.
With no National Hunt racing now for three weeks the teams focus shifts to preparations for the winter season ahead. The horses are coming on steadily in their work, some have just begun cantering while others are just beginning their trotting work. Lots to do but lots to look forward to!
