It’s that time of year again in the yard where everything starts to shift with the seasons. Some of the horses are being aimed at their final runs before a well-earned break, others have already had their shoes removed and are happily heading out to the field for a holiday, while a few are just getting into their stride and gearing up for a summer campaign. It’s always a mixed but exciting period, with plenty to look forward to.
We were treated to a fantastic performance on Tuesday, with Molto Bene running her heart out at Market Rasen to finish second, beaten only a neck. She has been an absolute star for us this season, so tough and consistent and that run summed her up perfectly.
Today, Charlie has made the trip to the Cheltenham sales in search of a new addition. It’s always an exciting time, and there’s nothing quite like welcoming a new face into the yard and we’ll be keeping everything crossed he finds a good one!
Looking ahead to the rest of the week, we have Jullou De Grissay heading to Hereford this evening, Imperial Jade set to run at Exeter tomorrow, and Anxious Moments lining up at Bangor on Saturday. With a few chances still to come, we’re hopeful we might squeeze in a couple more winners before the curtain falls on the season.
