September Gets Off to a Flying Start
The team have kicked off September in fine style, with two winners on the bounce!
First up was Jullou De Grissay, who had us all screaming him home at Worcester as he battled all the way to victory, winning by a thrilling nose. It was fantastic to see him back in form, and we are absolutely delighted for his brilliant owners, especially Katie who rides him at home most days!
We then headed to Fontwell with our prolific winner Midnight Jewel, who added another victory to his impressive record. ‘Jester’ notched up his 11th career win and his 5th win at Fontwell — another fantastic achievement for a horse who really is the gift that keeps on giving!
His loyal owner Gillian endured a rather torrid journey down to Fontwell, but, as we all know, it’s amazing what you don’t mind doing for a winner!
All Go at Hull Farm
There has been plenty going on behind the scenes at Hull Farm too. The kids are back at school, which unfortunately means we are one work rider down, the trainer has successfully undergone a new hip operation, and, just to keep things interesting, the tractor decided to blow up!
However, the important thing is that the horses are healthy, happy and looking magnificent. There is a real buzz around the yard, and we are all hugely excited in anticipation for the season ahead.
The horses are ready, the team are raring to go…
Now, if we could just have some rain, we’d be very happy indeed!
