It has been a welcome change in the weather this week, as we have finally seen some much-needed rain at Hull Farm! Needless to say, we were absolutely delighted to see it. After weeks of keeping our fingers crossed, we are hoping this is the start of a much wetter spell. With so much racing having been moved or abandoned due to the ground conditions, we will certainly be keeping everything crossed for more rain in the coming days!
All eyes are on Chepstow this weekend, as the National Hunt season really starts to kick off. We are delighted to have two runners heading there, with Freshers Week on Saturday and Alien Storm on Sunday both representing the yard.
Next week, we have plenty going on, with entries at Worcester, Southwell, Ffos Las and Fontwell. The horses are in great form at home, and there is excitement around the yard as the winter horses continues to progress.
We have also had an exciting new arrival at the yard — our brand-new lorry! It is very smart and ready for action, it is all set to clock up the miles, just in time for the season to get going!
Of course, with the weather still playing such a big part in the racing calendar, we will have to wait and see how the week unfolds. For now, we are looking forward to a busy Chepstow weekend and an exciting week ahead.
