Horses for Sale

11th June

11 June 2020

Racing has only been back one week and we already have a 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas winner. Kameko certainly burst Pinatubo's bubble. He is a fine looking horse who now has his stallion career mapped out - especially if David Redvers has anything to do with it!! Aidan O'Brien could not go away from the weekend without a big winner and Love duly obliged in the 1,000 Guineas. It will be interesting to see whether these two winners can hold their form and win their Derby/Oaks.....

Our first runner of the year did not according to plan earlier this afternoon. Fanfaronade has been on great form at home, but she just 'dwelt' in the stalls and then had to sit and suffer until the home straight. She may have just needed the run and the rain did not help. She is better than that and she will be back out in a couple of weeks....

The provisional jump programme is now out for July. I see there are 18 meetings with at least 8 races per meeting. I hope us trainers will have enough numbers to fill all the races. Southwell kicks off our season and I can see us having 2/3 runners that day. As long as I have them ready to run there are races for Dandridge, Monty's Award and Beyond the Clouds. I am glad to see there are plenty of decent handicaps in the fixture list - i guess this is because us trainers have a few of the nicer type of horses in and ready to run in July.
