    Fanfaronade and Beyond the Clouds

18 June 2020

Flat Racing seems to be taking giant strides to catch up their lost couple of months. The Guineas is been and gone and Royal Ascot is well under way. Many of the normal protagonists keep winning, but it was great to see Billy Knight and Owen Burrows get on the scoresheet. It was also fantastic to see The Queen win a 2yo race yesterday (and have a second). Stradivarius is back out this afternoon to try and defend his Gold Cup crown and then we have both the St James' palace and the Coronation Stakes on Saturday.... It will not be long now before the Derby.

Our jumpers continue to tighten up and looking at the revised jump programme Beyond the Clouds looks as if he will be our first jumper when racing resumes on the 1st July. With eight races on each card (and room for one to divide at each meeting), there will be plenty of racing during July for us all. Before then, Jamacho will run this weekend at Wolverhampton and Fanfaronade will try and jump out of the stalls better when she runs at Kempton next week.
