I was delighted with Maninsane's debut yesterday at Uttoxeter. I know fourth is not a win, but he showed a great attitude and if he had had a clearer run up the home straight he would have been at least third and almost second. It was a very solid first run and he should only improve. Hopefully he will be hard to beat next time
I have only declared one for the weekend. Local Affair runs in a mares only handicap hurdle with Katie O'Farrell riding. Katie won on her last time at Huntingdon and it would be great if she can work her magic touch again this weekend...!! Next Tuesday I have entered Beyond the Clouds in a handicap hurdle at Stratford. I have been waiting for him to run as he does seem an exciting sort with plenty of scope going forward to jump a fence. I really hope he can run in some of the better races going forward.
