Winner no.2!! Jamacho wins again at Stratford for Rob Aplin & The Stratford racing club – making his season 2 from 2! He, again, impressed on the run in to win by 5 lengths, despite the increase in the weights from the handicapper. This time he managed to get Paul O’Brien off the mark for the season. It will have really boosted Jamachos confidence, and we look forward to his next run.
We also had Beyond The Clouds & Dandridge run at Stratford on Tuesday. Beyond The Clouds ran a great race to finish 2nd under Aidan Coleman, and really impressed me with the way he accelerated up the home straight. He just got left at the start a bit, meaning that the others got first run on him. I am very hopeful of more things to come. Dandridge was disappointing yesterday, despite feeling great at home. I think that he has fallen out of love with the game, but we will go back to drawing board.
On Thursday we have Western Miller & Train Hill declared at Uttoxeter. Western Miller is in a competitive handicap, but I am hoping we will go close. Train Hill is making his debut for us. I am looking forward to seeing how they both run. On Friday, we have Barton Rose having her first run of the season at Newton Abbot.
