Weekend again - and it looks like a wet one! Miserable weather here this morning, non stop rain! I am so grateful to my team who just get on and work through it. Looks like the rain will be here for the next week or so.
We had 4 runners yesterday at Ffos Lass and Warwick. Castle Robin was very unlucky to be caught in the traffic on the home run, and ran a respectable race. Nightfly needed the run, she is a big mare and only works just enough at home. Therefore she will come on massively from the run and we can't wait to see her next time out.
Today we have Peter's Portrait up at Hexham with champion jockey Brian Hughes on board. I have delcared Moon King for Kelso on Sunday, and also Louse Talk and Thinque Tank for Uttoxeter. I think with the rain that is forecast the ground is likely to go on the soft side.
Next week we have Nightline entered at Stratford on Monday, and Storm Goddess entered at Ludlow on Wednesday. Not as many entries as we have had this past week.
All the horses have stayed in today due to this miserable weather, we have also had Flora Hurrell in this morning, the yard physiotherapist. She does amazing work on the horses and it really is a great asset the team. Flora usually comes in once a week.
