Four winners in four days! The horses have been coming into form, and those that have not been winning have still been running well. We had a double at Warwick on Thursday. Beyond The Clouds really stuck his neck out and battled to the line in a thrilling finish under Brian Hughes. It was great to watch, and nice to see him back in the winner’s enclosure for owner Mr Rob Aplin. Lyrical Genius then rounded off the day with a smart performance to win the bumper under Brian Hughes. He looked very green out in front but stayed on well and galloped to the line strongly. The further he went, the better he got and will have learnt lots from that run. Exciting times to come and we are delighted for his new owners Mr J Thackray & Mr Michael Ogilvy. However, can you believe that there is still 25% left in this smart horse? Please get in touch for more details, it looks as though there is lots of fun to be had with him.

We also had Oscar Montel run at Warwick to finish 3rd. He ran a good race, having only ran five days previous to come third which was another great effort in a slowly run race which would not have suited. He is much happier coming off a decent pace. He has been the model of consistency this Summer and has come out of the race well. He will run again towards the end of October, and the slightly slower going at Warwick did not seem to put him off. This means he will keep running into the winter, and there is still one 5% share left in him! It is a really fun syndicate, and as mentioned before, not only do you get the regular syndicate benefits, but you also get a FREE Annual Membership to Stratford Races and a syndicate box on all race days, regardless of whether Charlie Longsdon Racing have a runner. The syndicate will be at Stratford on Monday, please get in touch for more details amber@charlielongsdonracing.com or come along to Stratford and find out for yourself!

This week we also had Raven Court and Hoot At Midnight run at Bangor on Dee. It was a fantastic owner experience, and the lunch was lovely. Raven Court was slightly disappointing, it was his first run of the season, and he did get tired, especially when he made a mistake. Therefore, he will come on from the run fitness wise and we can look to next time out. Hoot At Midnight ran another consistent race for us this summer to come 4th.

George Bancroft was our final winner of the week at Fontwell. He impressed on his juvenile hurdling debut under Jonjo O’Neil jnr, for Mr JP McManus. He will definitely come on for the run as his jumping was still a bit green, and we look forward to seeing him next time out.

We also sent six horses to Lambourn on Thursday to work, Carlow Farmer, The Wise Traveller, Due Reward, Maninsane, Almazhar Garde and Glencassley. They all went well and will be only three weeks or so off a run. It is great to get them out and doing a strong piece of work, I believe Gavin Sheehan struggled to pull Almazhar Garde up at the top of the hill!

We have entries at Huntingdon on Tuesday, Champagne Noir, Midnight Jewel and Freethinker. On Wednesday we have If I Say and Jamacho entered, Worcester on Thursday sees Vivas and Haas Boy entered.

I hope everyone has a great weekend; it certainly feels as though winter is on its way. It has dropped down those couple of degrees, and the rain is on its way.
