Horses for Sale

2nd December 2022

2 December 2022

We have forgotten what the views from Hull Farm look like with all this fog! It has been thick fog since yesterday morning and does not look as though it is lifting anytime soon. It has also made everything a few degrees colder, and it was the first morning we were in the 0 degrees this season.

It would appear that the fog is not localised, as we had it all the way down and during the Wincanton meeting yesterday. It was extremely thick at Wincanton, and there was an inspection after the 2nd race on whether racing would go ahead, it passed. Therefore, The Wise Traveller returned to the track after three months. It appeared that he ran a cracker to finish a close 2nd to a well handicapped hot favourite. However, we couldn’t actually see anything and as the TimeForm comments said, ‘Hard to think of a race run in poorer visibility in recent times, only a handful of very fleeting shots of the field visible.’ As a result, we had to trust what Bradley said! He was very happy with how he travelled and jumped, and it was good to see him back up his performance from last time.

All roads now lead to a busy day of racing tomorrow. We are looking forward to seeing Snow Leopardess try and defend her Becher crown, Brian Hughes rides instead of Aidan. Gaelic Park is also declared at Aintree under Brian Hughes in the first race which is very early at 11:45am. Almazhar Garde heads to Sandown for the London National under Lilly Pinchin and Well Dick makes his rules debut at Chepstow with Jack Quinlan steering.

Charlie is currently at Sandown looking at the sale horses, they are sold after racing tomorrow. There is a fantastic selection of top quality Point to Pointers in the sale, so please do get in touch if you are after one!
