Horses for Sale

3rd January 2022

3 January 2022

Happy New Year to all, the first blog of 2022. All the horses have had their birthday and are now one year older! Racehorses hold their official birthday on the 1st of January every year. They were all treated to carrots, this is thanks to Marks and Spencers Chipping Norton. I hope you have all enjoyed the Christmas break and are ready to return to the normal routines tomorrow. As you all know, it carries on as normal in racing and all of our team are fantastic.

Zestful Hope made his hurdling debut at Catterick on New Years Day, he was our only runner of the day. He ran a nice race to finish 3rd under Paul O’Brien and will have learnt lots on the way round. On Sunday Rivarros took to the track at Plumpton, again under Paul O’Brien. He jumped and handled the ground, but just got tired as they got racing and finished 5th. He is bound to improve for the run, having been off the track for nearly a year.

Two runners today at Southwell, Byzantium Lad ridden by Paul and The Wise Traveller with David Bass on board. Shah An Shah heads to Southwell tomorrow with Aidan Coleman on board and we have no runners on Wednesday.

Entries later on in the week include Largy Nights and The Mighty Arc at Chepstow on Thursday, Guetapan Collonges and The Mighty Arc at Wetherby on Friday and Illegal Model and Glebe Road are entered at Newcastle on Saturday.

Despite the busy Christmas period, there does not seem to be too much else to report. Therefore, we will sign off with a short and sweet blog, and enjoy your last bank holiday this Christmas period!
