It has been pretty quiet here in regards to runners this week. We haven't had any yet! Thinque Tank, our racing club horse, heads to Ludlow tomorrow with Tom on board. We are hoping for a good run, and think the ground will really help. He wears a tongue strap for the first time. No runners on Friday.
It is extremely foggy here this morning, we cannot see alot in front of us! However, we managed to see enough to school a few. Paul was in this morning, so we took a few up over the hurdles on the grass. It was nice to get some of the youngsters on the grass for the first time. We were pleased with them all. Vivas had his entry in the cross country race at Cheltenham yesterday, so we will take him schooling around there tomorrow. He should be an expert by now, he has already ran in twice! It is a nice day out for him, and will hopefully give him a nice change of scenery and freshen him up.
Storm Goddess has continued to go swimming, and it looks to be doing her the world of good. It is great at strengthening them up, without putting pressure on the joints. Illegal Model and Just Your Type have been using the water treadmill, and we are also already seeing a benefit in that.
We have lots entered over the weekend. Saturday we have Rainmaker at Doncaster, as well as Tea For Free. Tea For Free is also entered at Newbury on Saturday, and Wetherby on Monday in a bumper. Almazhar Garde is entered up at Kelso on Saturday, and Teenage Dirtbag is entered at Sedgefield on Sunday, along with Thinque Tank but he is declared for tomorrow. Huntingdon on Sunday Bold Pimpernel, Raimaker, Do Wanna Know, Nightfly and Teenage Dirtbag are all entered. So the weekend could potentially be quite busy for us.
We also have entries for Monday, Nightfly, Bold Pimpernel, Freethinker at Southwell and Nightfly and Stormy Milan at Wetherby along with Tea For Free.
