What a difference a few dry mornings make! We are beginning to feel like Spring is now around the corner, the sun is finally showing it’s face and the horses are now being turned back out in the fields after exercise, it makes a huge difference. They absolutely love being out in the field and we love seeing them out!
This morning was particularly exciting as Gerald Cooper came in to see his horse, Whatyouwaitingfor. He is a horse who will be running through the Spring to raise money for prostate cancer, a charity close to all our hearts. It’s an incredible way to raise awareness and funds for such an important cause, while having plenty of fun at the same time. National Hunt Racing always has a wonderful way of bringing people together and we are proud to be apart of something that matters far beyond the racecourse. We have declared two horses for Thursday at Haydock, Freshers Week and Chemoulin. We are looking forward to watching them both and fingers crossed for some good, safe runs. We’ve got plenty of entries across the upcoming weekend including On The Go, Realisation, Molto Bene, Seamoon Story, Roxy Russet and Scrumpyjack. The horses are in good form, the team is working hard as always so a big thanks to them.
We are now only one week away from the Cheltenham Festival so there is lots of Cheltenham talk around the yard. It’s an exciting time of year for everyone and a great week of racing!
Have a great week.
