Brian Hughes made a visit to Charlie Longsdon Racing this morning, before he rides Raven Court at Warwick this afternoon. He rode out Jamacho 2nd lot, then headed to Lew House Stables to school Beyond The Clouds over fences. Beyond The Clouds was very clever, and we are looking forward to his chasing debut, potentially at Sedgefield next week.

This Afternoon Raven Court and Teenage Dirtbag head to Warwick, on what looks like a miserable Monday. The weather is very wet and windy here, I cannot see many people sitting outside for a bank holiday lunch! Brian Hughes is aboard Raven Court, and our aim is to get Raven Court to finish his race strongly, previously he seems to drop away quickly. Teenage Dirtbag has Richie McLernon in charge, and as we know he is a little rascal, Richie will need to keep him interested on the way round.

Almazhar Garde was disappointing on Saturday to come 6th in the Staffordshire plate. He looked like the winner turning in, but then never backed it up along the home straight which is annoying as we know he can stay all day. Frustrating off the back of his last run. He will get his wind checked again. Maxi Jazz made his stable debut for us and finished out the back in what looked to be a messy race. There were 17 runners, and they did not seem to get into a rhythm. He has shown improvement since his last run.

Do Wanna Know has been declared for Southwell tomorrow, but will only run if we get some more rain. We need to the going description to have removed the word ‘Firm’. It would be great if he could finish his season on a good clear round of jumping.

We have no runners on Wednesday, however entries for both Huntingdon and Worcester on Wednesday, Hoot At Midnight, The Wise Traveller, Glimpse of Gala and Local Affair. Market Rasen has Train Hill, Glencassley and The Vollan from our stable entered on Friday. Saturday looks busy with three meetings. Haydock, the dual card of Jumps and Flat racing, has Western Miller entered in the handicap chase. The Wise Traveller is entered at Hexham, and Glencassley along with Train Hill are entered at Warwick. Finally, on Sunday we have Jamacho entered at Ludlow. We will then look ahead to the Jersey Campaign for Jamacho.

I hope you all have a great bank holiday, and did not have a nice pub lunch planned - looks like you will be blown away if you did!
