Here at Hull Farm the summer turnout crew are continuing to enjoy their summer holidays. Meanwhile, Delpotro, who won last time out, runs at Southwell today at 2.30pm under Sean Bowen. Tomorrow, Red Panda heads to Warwick under David Bass at 7.10pm, she will wear cheekpieces for the first time. Fingers crossed they all get round safely and here’s hoping for a winner!
While the older horses are enjoying their well-earnt break, summer is a crucial time for youngsters and breakers. Alan Roche, our head lad, begins the process of teaching them the basics before long reining. As you can imagine this is a process that takes time and patience, during the next few weeks they will be adventuring around the farm adjusting to their new surroundings and getting used to the tack on their backs. We are all looking forward to seeing how these young horses progress over the summer months!
Later this week we have several entries at Ffos Las, Chelmsford, Uttoxeter, Bangor on Dee and Chepstow.
