Happy New Year to you all, I hope you have all enjoyed the christmas period, and now it is back to work and some sort of normality. Although, normality is not easy to come by in the current situation! This is my first blog of the new year!

To end the year we had Shah An Shah run brilliantly back over hurdles at Warwick with Aidan Coleman on board to come 2nd. He ran a great race to be beaten by the favourite Mr Washington who is a four time winner this season. Snow Leopardess and Parramount went home on the Thursday for a short break, where they will do lots of strengthening work with their owner.

We had no runners New Years day, however Will and Lee made the long trip up to Ayr with Illegal Model and Carlow Farmer, ready for racing on the Saturday. However, it appears they made the trip up for no reason, as racing was abandoned on Saturday due to the frost. Ballydine ran at Sandown in the Veterans' final on Saturday to come 10th under Tom Buckley.

Sunday we sent Do Wanna Know and Thinque Tank to Catterick. Do Wanna Know was later declared a NR due to the ground conditions, Robbie Dunne who was riding Do Wanna Know said it was like galloping through a ploughed field, which is not what we wanted. Thinque Tank ran a great race in his handicap debut, again on ground that was not ideal. He looked like he was going to challenge to win the race jumping the second last, however the ground took its toll and he just tired jumping the last. He ran on to finish and encouraging fifth, and on better ground he should be winning races in the future. There are still a few spaces availble in the Charlie Longsdon Racing club, so please get in touch for more details!

No runners today, but we have Diger Daudaie and Glass of Bubbles declared for Ludlow on Tuesday with Tom Buckley on board. There is doubt about whether Ludlow will go ahead with a precautionary inspection being held at 1pm today. Louse Talk is entered at Ffos Lass on Thursday and Carlow Farmer is entered at Lingfield. However, Lingfield is currently not raceable, hopefully conditions will improve by Friday. The weekend sees Almazhar Garde, Castle Robin and Merry Milan all holding entries.

I hope everyone has a great week, and those that are returning to work after a christmas break arent too busy!
