Maninsane and Glimpse Of Gala both arrived back to Hull Farm yesterday. They have been in pre-training with Claire Hart and have come back look fantastic as always. Glimpse Of Gala was very happy to be out this morning with Brogan back on board.
Midnight Jewel, The Wise Traveller, Soldat Forte and Caesar’s Palace all headed off the Lambourn yesterday morning. Midnight Jewel schooled over the fences and was very good. We will see him chasing very soon. The Wise Traveller led Soldat Forte and Caesar’s Palace over the hurdles. Again, they all jumped well and will be out on the racetrack soon. It was Caesar’s Palace first time jumping away from home, and he jumped like a bunny. Soldat Forte and The Wise Traveller then did a piece of work up the ‘long’ gallop. The back of the hill, where we normally work, is having maintenance done.
All four 3yos have returned from their mini break. Jetaway X Palmito, Sholokov X The Keane Edge, Telescope X Madam Bijou and Gentleman Jacques. They have all been sat on and trotting away. So far so good, and an exciting future ahead with them.
It is a busy time of year here, but with not too much to report. Due to the horses slowly increasing fitness, and racing being few and far between! Although our horses have been running 75% to form over the last 14 days, and so far this season we have been operating on a 17% strike rate.
