When its not called off because its waterlogged, its called off because its frozen!! Ludlow was abandoned on Tuesday, so Diger Daudaie and Glass of Bubbles did not run, and as of yet we have had no runners this week, so it has been fairly quiet. Carlow Farmer was entered at Lingfield on Friday, but that has already been called off. The cards have been changed at Newcastle and Lingfield to a 'Jumpers Bumpers' fixture on the all weather on Friday instead. We have entered Scene Not Herd and Moon King. These fixtures are great when the ground has gone heavy, and we can't run our good ground horses they seem to be a good alternative.
A busy weekend ahead if all racing goes ahead. Illegal Model is entered at Chepstow, Glass Of Bubbles, Almazhar Garde and Castle Robin at Kempton, and Merry Milan at Wincanton on Saturday. No entries for Sunday.
It has been very cold here, we had a dusting of snow this morning, and it looks as though it will be in the minus temperatures all day tomorrow. We are lucky though that it does not stop play here getting the horses all ridden out. Paul was in this morning adn rode 5 lots, including giving Punctuation a jump in the school.
We have a few fresh ones at the moment as they have come back in from their breaks. Largy Nights has been off for over a year due to striking into himself, he is trotting away on the rounds and is very happy to be out. Cardigan Bay is back in work after having time off due to a small injury. The Vollan, Beyond The Clouds and Train Hill have come back in from their holidays and are happy to be back in work.
