Yesterday was a fantastic day for us at the races, we had a winner! Miss Applejack won at Chelmsford yesterday evening under a brilliant ride from Rob Hornby. We are absolutely delighted for her owners The Applejacks and the team at home, she deserved her day in the spotlight.
While the win brought smiles all round, yesterday also marked the retirement of Do Your Job. He ran his final race with all the honesty and enthusiasm that he always has. At 11 years old, he has been consistent throughout the season and managed to win another race too. The time felt right to let him bow out while he is safe, sound and a happy horse! Do Your Job aka ‘Bubbles’ has been a great horse over his many years in racing, he is a very tough, genuine and quirky character… Happy Retirement Bubbles!
We begin next week with two entries; Midnight Jewel is entered for Fontwell meanwhile Graecia has got an entry on the flat at Salisbury. Let’s hope we can get another winner!
